A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited email messages, but this issue can be resolved using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all e-mailbox will be unbelievably easy in case you have a Linux shared website hosting with us. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. If there is active email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a warning text message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with a couple of clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain hosted here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a mailbox, you will need to click on the symbol with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be accomplished in the exact same way and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a certain domain, you will receive a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never change or deactivate anything automatically.
